Dealing With The Smell Of Smoke

This home suffered severe damage from a fire that started in the kitchen and impacted the entire home. SERVPRO of Lafayette was called to the scene for cleanup.

There was a lot of debris, soot, and smoke damage in the home. After we removed the debris along with some damaged personal items, we were able to address the soot and smoke damage. 

Cleaning up soot is the easier of the two as it is highly visible. Smoke is more difficult to handle. You have to clean walls, carpet, bedding, clothing and anything else that is washable to rid the home of the smoke smell.
