Fire in Opelousas Home

This electrical fire originated in a bedroom in this home in Opelousas LA.

The extent of damage spread through out the bedroom and the smoke and soot covered the walls. The dry wall was damaged to the point that it had to be removed. We carefully boxed the items in the room and cleaned them at our facility.

The rest of the home suffered minor smoke damage that needed to be cleaned. Our cleaning crew from SERVPRO of Lafayette washed the ceiling, walls, and doors. The carpets were cleaned also because they continued to smell of smoke. The homeowners thanked us for the work we did to remove the odor.
