After a water damage there is usually a grace period of 24 hours before mold begins to grow. Drywall has a paper backing which is organic and perfect for mold to grow on.

Notice how the mold grew in different places along the wall. When mold grows spotted it is because the humidity is high and the wall is taking on moisture more evenly.

This wall needed to beremoved to get rid of the mold that was growing. The studs ended up looking really good but we still disinfected them and disposed of the debris.
